AUDIOLOGICAL EVALUATIONS are a series of diagnostic procedures used to determine the type, degree, and configuration of hearing loss. The goal of this evaluation is to develop a treatment plan that is unique to the patient's needs in order to improve their communication skills.

HEARING AID EVALUATIONS, DISPENSING & SERVICE are all offered by Audiology Associates Hawaii. Following a diagnostic evaluation with a patient, we offer non-medical treatment options for patients in need. AAH offers comprehensive hearing aid treatment through one-on-one hearing aid evaluations, dispensing (sales), and service. We have a variety of hearing aids available with an emphasis on fully programmable, digital technology. We evaluate all hearing aid lines before adding a product to our offerings and consult with other hearing healthcare professionals to obtain performance information regarding the products we offer. Our patients have the satisfaction of knowing we consider the manufacturer's product quality, service and delivery history, as well as the customer return and complaint record in deciding whether or not to dispense their products. We also assess our patient's experiences and obtain input from other professionals. We emphasize ongoing cleaning and maintenance after a hearing aid purchase to ensure the patient receives optimum performance and benefit from the hearing aids.
VESTIBULAR (BALANCE) ASSESSMENTS are a series of tests performed to help identify the cause of dizziness or vertigo. These tests evaluate the oculomotor system and the function of the vestibular system in the inner ear that can help distinguish between abnormalities in the vestibular system, brainstem, and cerebellum.

In addition to hearing aids, the practice offers a selection of assistive listening devices to help improve audibility in specific and difficult listening situations. We also offer custom earmolds for swimming, sleep, loud noise protection, and musicians as well as provide information and counseling for industrial safety. AAH can provide a wide range of products to assist the user in a variety of settings. Below are more detailed descriptions of our products:
ASSISTIVE LISTENING DEVICES are provided in a wide range of device options to assist the user in a variety of settings. From the classroom to the living room to the boardroom, assistive devices can improve communication for all ages.

SWIM EARMOLDS* are used to prevent water from entering the ear canal and middle ear, while patients with pressure equalization (PE) tubes or eardrum perforations are swimming and bathing. Swim molds are custom made to fit each individual ear providing maximum protection and come in a variety of fun colors.
SLEEP EARMOLDS* are used to help an individual get a good night’s rest even in a noisy environment (such as if their significant other is a snorer or they live in a city). They are custom fit to each ear providing comfort and a high noise reduction ratio.
NOISE PROTECTION EARMOLDS* are custom fit earmolds that can provide enhanced comfort in protecting from noise-induced hearing loss. Any kind of loud noise exposure is potentially damaging to hearing, so whether your noise exposure comes from your work environment, hobbies, or just mowing your lawn.
MUSICIAN EARMOLDS* are custom fit to help to protect your hearing without distorting the music. These are excellent whether you play in a band or just enjoy going to shows. Musician ear plugs are recommended for frequent concert-goers, music students and educators, and professional musicians. In addition to hearing protection devices, customs earbud molds can be made to fit universal earphones for a more comfortable fit which will result in a lower volume level.
